Odlično očuvana knjiga sem što ima posvetu.
I`m a massive Beatles fan (some might say `geek`), and have been since I discovered the Beatles as a kid 25 years ago. I have their entire discography, I`ve seen the movies and the Anthology, and I soak up every piece of information I can find on them. I even play in a successful Beatles tribute band. I don`t say that to boast, but to qualify that when it comes to Beatles trivia, I know what I`m talking about.
I saw this book in a thrift shop, and after leafing through it and seeing photos that I`d never seen before, I bought it. What did I have to lose? I got it home and started reading it, and realized two things:
1) The book is indeed full of pictures I`d never seen before, which was wonderful. I was especially happy to see some old pictures from the Beatles` Hamburg and Cavern days.
2) The author gets A LOT of facts wrong, and when he`s not busy getting them wrong, he adds what seems like quite a bit of personal speculation to the writing. The end result is a book that reads like a lavish fan publication written by someone who hasn`t seen or read anything relating to the Beatles Anthology.
