Temporality and narrativity in music drama by Ana Stefanović
In this study, the genre of music drama is observed through the tension between the dramatic (mimetic) and narrative (diegetic) modes, placed in the key relationship with the configuration of time. Music drama is thuss understood as a configuration of time and narrative (inspired by Paul Ricoeur`s examination of the relationships between these concepts), which, due to an inherent genere misto present from its beginnings, forms a sequence of three generic links, as narrative and temporal strategies: drama - pastorale - tragedy.
