An excellent resource for anybody interested in Blues. Contains a wealth of information on each of the blues artists. Contains enough detail to be very interesting but not overwhelming.

Best of the two blues recordings books--comparing to Penguin. Biggest difference is that this book contains not only more artists, but also more CDs by the artists. The negatives are that this book is older than Penguin and that these author`s are more concilliatory in their ratings.

This Book has compiled some of the greatest Blues players from the past and present. Facts that I would probably not have known otherwise and it also lists their work so you can buy the music for your collection as well. I would recommend this book for anyone who is new to the Blues or not. If you want to know, this is the book to have.
