The illustrated monograph surveys the history of St. Sava’s Cathedral, beginning with the 19th-century idea to erect it and reaching the present day, i.e. the current works and events. Moreover, the book tells about the plans for the future. While presenting the construction works, the monograph casts light on the historical circumstances, for a great many difficulties had to be faced by St. Sava’s Church-Construction Society. The text provides detailed descriptions of all the parts of the Cathedral plus a large number of photos, archival and new ones alike. Also, the book has registered important visitations to the Cathedral, as well as related public figures and gatherings.
