Created for the International year of the Child 1979
The children`s texts, narratives, interviews and drawings published here, irrpective of their country of origin, have nearly all benn assembled over the past two years from schools. Many were written phonetically, without punctuation. We corrected the spelling, since leaving the texts in thier original form would have made the translator`s task impossible. Where they repeated themselves we cut out repetitions so that they could be better understood. However we did not permit ourselves to change a single word.
