- `Pat Bracknell`s husband Ron was a successful travelling salesman. And with Ron away on frequent business trips, Pat found life nice and peaceful. Until the day that she found an old school exercise book in her husband`s tool box.

After details of different experiments he`d done in science lessons, came more entries in Ron`s recent handwriting. More reports of experiments. All about different ways of killing. Killing people. With dates and times and places. As if Ron himself had actually carried them out.

Then Pat saw the newspaper clippings attached, describing how the bodies had been found. And they all matched up with those dates and times and places.

Of course, it was all a joke, a game of some sort. Wasn`t it?`
