These are the notes that recount Goethe`s sojourn in Naples, an extraordinary tableau of the city at the end of the 18th century and a testament to the captivating power that these locations held over the poet`s soul. We are in 1787, the cultured and refined German writer begins, like many others at the time, his Grand Tour, later narrated in his famous `Italian Journey`.
