EDITH HAMILTON is the world renowned classicist who on her ninetieth birthday was made an honorary citizen of Athens. Upon her graduation from Bryn Mawr in 1894, she started on a distinguished teaching career. In 1930 she published her brilliant interpretation of ancient Greek culture, The Greek Way and followed this two years later with The Roman Way. Both books are now available in Mentor editions.
