Abstract : This book is designed for students of medicine, and concisely states the principles of pathology, bacteriology and virology with special, but not exclusive, reference to tropical diseases. This tropical bias is particularly noticed in the chapters dealing with diseases caused by fungi, spirochaetes, viruses, rickettsia, protozoa, and helminths. Techniques of P.M. examination, histological staining and culture media are briefly described in appendices. There are 18 coloured plates and many photographs; the paper and the layout are excellent.-R.M.
