U cilju obogaćivanja turističke ponude grada, Turistička organizacija Beograda objavila je knjigu “Enigma Singidunum / Tragom naselja Skordiska na tlu današnjeg Beograda“ koja promoviše keltsko nasleđe na ovim prostorima.
U okviru buduće turističke ture koja sledi trag keltskih naseobina u Beogradu, turistički novinari plovili su (7.11.2018.) Dunavskim akvatorijumom, upoznavali se sa nekim od lokacija keltskih naseobina i degustirali “keltsku zakusku”. Vesna Aleksić, autorka knjige “Enigma Singidunum”, kaže “Singidunum i Taurunum, keltske naseobine na ušću Save u Dunav, daleki su „preci” savremenog Beograda.
Nastanak Singidunuma vezuje se za postojanje keltske plemenske zajednice Skordiska koja se u antičkim izvorima prvi put pominje 279.godine p.n.e. Iako nema naseobinskih nalaza, arheološki ostaci, pronađeni na mnogim mestima u centru i okolini Beograda, čuvaju se u Muzeju grada, Narodnom muzeju i Arheološkoj zbirci Filozofskog fakulteta Univerziteta u Beogradu”.
Singidunum and Taurunum, Celtic settlements on the confluence of the Sava and Danube, are the distant ʿancestorsʾ of modern-day Belgrade. Singidunumʼs origin is associated with the existence of the Celtic tribe Scordisci, which was mentioned for the first time in ancient sources in the year 279 BC. Today, the only thing that reminds us of their existence is the name of the Belgrade tourist and recreational area, the river island Ada Ciganlija, whose root contains one of the oldest and well-known names of Belgrade settlements.
Despite the lack of evidence that a settlement ever existed there, the archeological remains found in many places in the center of Belgrade and its outskirts clearly show traces of life of fellow Celtic ʿcitizensʾ in the area of Belgrade, confirming the writings by Greek and Roman historians. Archaeological discoveries are kept in the Belgrade Museum, the National Belgrade Museum and in the archeological collection of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrad.
