This publication is an abridged edition of the album issued by our publishing house under the same title in 1959, and re-issued as a result of the tremendous interest it aroused in Europe and all over the world.
Most of the photographs are
from German sources, which both during the time of the occupation and after the end of the war came info Polish hands.
The summary of the evenfs they depict, provides a characterizafion of the system and the methods of organization of the mass exfermination of the Polish people between 1939. and 1945. The facts and figures show the magnitude of the crimes commiffed.
We publish this shocking document once again convinced of the great need for this type of publication and with the hope that it will fulfil its role as
a warning and a reminder.
