ABOUT THE AUTHOR
S. A. DANGE, one of the founders of the Communist Party of India and a foremost leader of the Indian working class, entered politics in his young student days and organised student strikes in 1920 during the non-cooperation movement.

He was among those who founded the All-India Trade Union Congress (1920), the fighting organisation of the Indian working class.

In 1922-24 he founded and edited a Communist weekly, “The Socialist.” The imperialist rulers of India arrested him in 1924 along with other Communists in the Cawnpore Conspiracy Case. He was sentenced to four years’ imprisonment.

Out of the imperialist prison, we find him in 1928 as the organiser of the textile workers’ strike in Bombay. In the same year, he founded the mighty Girni Kamgar Union (Red Mag).

In 1929 he was arrested once again with 31 others in the famous Meerut Conspiracy Case. When released he continued to work among the textile workers of Bombay.

Even then the Congress Ministry of Bombay did not allow him to be among the working class for long. In 1939 he was put behind the bars for six months, again in connection with a working-class strike.
Soon after his release in 1940 he organised and led the anti-war and textile strike of Bombay. He was thrown into prison once again.
Out of prison in 1943, he was elected president of the All-India Trade Union Congress. He went to Europe as a delegate to the World Federation of Trade Unions (W.F.T.U.), in 1945, and was elected to its executive.

In 1946 the working class of Bombay elected him to the State Legislative Assembly, as their representative, with an overwhelming majority against the Congress candidate.

Inside the Assembly he relentlessly fought for the cause of the working class till the Congress Ministry of Bombay detained him without trial from the night of April 2, 1948. He was released only in July 1950.

LIČNO PREUZIMANJE:
Lično preuzimanje me deranžira i oduzima mi više vremena od slanja poštom.

Ako vam takve stvari smetaju, pitajte me pre kupovine da proverim.

KOMUNIKACIJA:
Komunikacija ide isključivo preko Kupindo poruka, ne telefonom. Budite normalni.

POPUSTI, CENKANJE I SL.:

MOJA PONUDA:
Nove knjige postavljam gotovo svaki dan. Možete ih pratiti na ovom linku http://www.limundo.com/Clan/ndi (pritisnite dugme `Prati`)

SUSEDNE ZEMLJE I INOSTRANSTVO:

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS:
I will send abroad. For your calculation, one hundred dinars roughly equals $1. Please register here:
