The main problems in preparing A Dictionary of Rhyme Terms were related to terminology because, on one side, there existed multiple terms for one kind of rhyme, while on the other certain forms of rhyme had no terminological designations. In many cases where the terms existed, they were imprecise and incorrect, or did not have a terminological status, being rather metaphorical expressions. The Dictionary covers all the quantitative, qualitative, and distributive models of rhyme, as well as its phonological, morphological, lexical and semantic structure. The Dictionary has the following advantages: the precision of definitions, consistency, logical subordination applied throughout the system of terms, and a representativeness and fullness in the presentation of concepts. The analysed material was provided from ten national poetries: American, Czech, English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Russian, Serbian and Spanish. The Dictionary contains 361 concepts: 262 of them are defined and illustrated by two examples each, while 99 concepts serve as control entries.
