For more than a decade, many Danes had their first encounters here with many of the best American jazz musicians of the 50`, fro veterans to the young lions in Art Blakey`s Jazz Messengers, who hinted at what would be happening in the 60`. We decided to present the music chronologically. We have chosen a few special events out of the many hundred concerts that took place at -Hallen. Naturally, you are welcome to listen to the CDs from start to finish, but you may also choose to focus on some of your speci favorite. - from the liner notes.
