Hans Ehrke (* April 10, 1898 in Demmin; † October 29, 1975 in Kiel) again a Low German and High German writer.

Ehrke was born in 1898 as the son of a customs official in Demmin. He went to Volksschool in Schönbarg from 1905 and to Realschool in Kiel. In 1913 and 1921 he returned to the preparatory school and the teachers` seminar in Kiel and then worked in Kiel and Rendsborg as a teacher. In 1938 he was rector in Kiel and remained there until he retired in 1961.

Ehrke received many prizes for his works: 1924 prize in a one-act competition of the Low German stage Flensburg for the play Dat Pastür. 1924 the 1st prize in the Lustspeel prize writing of the Nedderdütsche Bühn Hamburg for the play Narrenspeegel. 1931 the Stavenhagen Prize of the Nedderdütsche Bühnenbund and the NORAG for Nedderdütsche dramatik. 1937 the Schleswig-Holstein literary prize for the overall work. 1938 the John-Brinckman-Pries of Go Mekelnborg. 1942 the Mecklenburg Literature Prize of Go Mekelnborg for the overall work. In 1959 the Fritz-Stavenhagen-Pries and in 1968 the Klaus-Groth-Pries.
