The AuroraPlus is an
easy-to-use hand-held Basic
Rate ISDN tester for the
communications technician who
needs a rapid and reliable, yet
easy-to-use installation tool.
Operated through a simple
menu interface, the AuroraPlus
can locate faults and isolate
problems quickly and easily.
The AuroraPlus can test most
ISDN call and connection types
at the U-interface and on the
S-Bus, including point-to-point
and point-to-multipoint operation.
In both modes it simulates the
interface activity of Terminal
Equipment (S-Bus) or the combined
functionality of the
Network Terminator and
associated terminal (U interface).
It has Fixed Links mode to allow
testing between PBX without
protocol.
The standard protocols are
Euro-ISDN (ETSI), with VN4 or
1TR6. Other protocols can be
supplied. In addition the
AuroraPlus can verify and test
D-Channel X.25 provision.
For the installation engineer who
may need to identify individual
circuits in wiring bundles which
contain a mix of technologies,
there can only be a benefit in not
changing equipment.
