On July 2, 2005, 5,000+ pierced and tattooed fans descended upon the Starland Ballroom parking lot in Sayreville, NJ under a blistering sun to witness an onslaught of pure metal mayhem. True to its name, the Sounds of the Underground Tour, brought 16 of the best "underground" bands to the fore. From the pummeling madness of DevilDriver to the barely-controlled chaos of High On Fire, from the gory antics of GWAR to the jam-rock excess of Clutch and the incendiary live force of Lamb Of God, those in attendance were treated to a display of unprecedented visual and sonic power!
