Description: After parting ways with David Vincent in 1996, Morbid Angel`s future looked unclear - but `Formulas Fatal To The Flesh`, the band`s first album with vocalist/bassist Steve Tucker, was a stunning return to form, heralding the start of the band`s celebrated second era. Taking the band`s ferocious death metal sound in a more surreal, psychedelic direction, the album remains one of the most unique and adventurous in the band`s discography. Songs like `Prayer Of Hatred` deliver all the brutal blasting you`d expect from Morbid Angel, but elsewhere songs like the almost ten minute long `Invocation Of The Continual One` found the trio of Tucker, guitarist Trey Azagthoth and drummer Pete Sandoval pushing past death metal cliches into even more atmospheric and bizarre territory.
