Jean-Louis Rieupeyrout , born onJuly 31, 1923in Eygurande and died onJanuary 25, 1992in La Rochelle following cancer, is a 20th - century French writer specializing in the American West. He worked as a French teacher at the Léonce-Vieljeux high school in La Rochelle and was vice-president of the French Federation of Film Clubs .
