Greil Marcus was born in San Francisco in 1945. He is considered one of the most important scholars of the relationship between popular culture and music and collaborates with important magazines and newspapers, such as `Rolling Stone`, `New York Times`, `Esquire`, `Interview »,« Artforum ».
