This is an excellent look into the way 50 poets try to describe and explain the ways in which they go about the art and the craft of poetry. Followers of American poetry are likely to recognize many of the poets included in this book. I am especially impressed with the poem (`Death and the Arkansas River`) provided by the late Frank Stanford and his very poetically written essay that accompanies it.
