Lojze Berce (born Alojzij Peter Berce ), Slovenian editor , * July 2, 1898 , Dornberk , † July 1 , 1995 , Opčine , Friuli-Venezia Giulia , Italy .
He was born to father Anton and mother Rozalija (née Budin). After graduating in 1923 from the Higher School of Economics and Commerce in Trieste , he was the editor of the newspaper Edinost in 1923−1926 , a member of the editorial board of Slovene and Ponedeljski Slovene in Ljubljana (1931–1935) for issues of Slovenian minorities in Italy , from 1935–1941 he was a clerk for minority issues at the press office in Belgrade , from 1945–1946 he worked at the Institute for International Affairs in Belgrade, returned to Trieste and from 1949−1983 he edited the weekly Gospodarstvo as editor-in-chief . During this time, the newspaper became an important means of developing economic relations between Slovenes in Italy. For his work, he received the Tomšič Award . [ 2 ]
